By pursuing ultimate simplicity, truly beautiful and rich designs are born.
This was a guiding principle when designing MOTOMAX2.
The development team's first task was to strip away all unnecessary design elements.
Printed colors were eliminated, and colors were unified to a single tone.
By focusing on materials, enhancing texture, and engraving the logo, a minimalist design was achieved,
resulting in the ultimate simple motorcycle shoe.
Why? Hybrid?
Why did we choose two materials? MOTOMAX2 is composed of a hybrid of synthetic leather + genuine leather.Genuine leather has many advantages, but it is actually vulnerable to water and cannot be worn on rainy days. It also has the disadvantage of requiring regular maintenance.
During development, considering that it should be easily usable for everyday wear in addition to riding,
we created a hybrid construction combining two materials.
This resulted in a durable motorcycle sneaker requiring minimal maintenance.
Synthetic leather
Synthetic leather offers both the texture and practicality of real leather.
It is water-resistant, so you can use it without any problem even in sudden rain. Its excellent water resistance allows for a comfortable ride without getting wet from the rain. It is also stain-resistant, making it less likely to get dirty and maintaining its clean appearance. It is an easy-to-maintain item for everyday use.
*The shift pad, shoelace hole area, and heel counter parts use genuine cowhide leather.
*Please perform daily maintenance on the genuine leather parts (leather care and moisturizing treatment with cream or oil).
Shoelaces [Stain-resistant processing]
Shoelaces are often overlooked.
While the entire shoe is often treated for stain resistance, the shoelaces are actually the parts that get dirtiest.
With MOTOMAX2, we paid close attention to the shoelaces.
By applying a special fluorine-based treatment, we achieved excellent water repellency, making them stain-resistant and successfully reducing damage to the shoelaces.

YKK Water-Repellent Zipper
YKK is a leading Japanese brand with 40% of the global zipper market share.
For MOTOMAX2, we have adopted YKK water-repellent zippers.
The zipper is actually subject to as much wear and tear as the sole.
The zipper, moving up and down every time you wear the shoes, is under considerable stress. Additionally, in demanding motorcycle scenarios such as sudden rain or wind during a ride, a regular zipper could break. That's why MOTOMAX2 insists on using YKK zippers.
Side Zip
Originally, with lace-up types, you have to loosen the laces to take the shoes on and off.
If the laces are loose, precise pedal operation might be difficult, potentially affecting your ride.
For MOTOMAX2, assuming daily use, we added a side zip for easy on and off.
This maintains the fit while significantly reducing the hassle of tying laces.
Visibility - Original Sole
Our commitment to the Original Shoe sole. It actually hides two functions.
Step Catch
The sole has a special structure designed to naturally hook onto the footpeg when in a riding position.
This allows for a comfortable riding posture to be maintained.
It also serves as a footpeg slip prevention feature.
High Visibility
In fact, many motorcycle accidents occur while the bike is stopped.
However, why are motorcycles often rear-ended while stopped?
The main reason is that "motorcycles are difficult for car drivers to recognize."
MOTOMAX2 focuses on visibility, making the sole fluorescent orange.
By making the color as eye-catching as possible,
it helps reduce accidents.
Protectors
While it looks like an ordinary high-cut shoe, there's actually a special protector built into the ankle area where the engraving is.
Even in riding schools, shoes that cover the ankles are recommended for lessons.
Even in a simple tip-over, the ankles are easily injured if caught by the bike.
Although it looks much like a regular shoe, it's specifically designed for motorcycles,
and safety has been thoroughly considered.
Protection Midsole
The brown sole has a special shape, unlike a normal sole.
It has a two-layer structure with a special alloy built in to maintain its shape.
It maintains the shoe's shape even in tough conditions, protecting your feet when it matters most.
