The MA-1 is said to have originated around 1950. The B-15 series was the standard for flight jackets around 1940. As times changed and technology improved, more high-performance jackets were required. The MA-1 was born with the latest technology at the time and a major improvement, which was the removal of the jacket collar. The timeless, stylish and innovative design is still loved by many people today. The RIDEZ MOTO MA-1 is a carefully crafted piece that combines the concept of the MA-1 from around 1950 with modern fabrics and materials.

Sheepskin
RIDEZ is synonymous with sheep leather. Instead of using the traditional nylon fabric, RIDEZ has poured all of its knowledge and experience of rider jackets into the MA-1. Unlike cowhide, sheep leather is soft. It feels moist and soft against the skin, and is a material that is easy to move in, so there is less pressure on the shoulders and you can move your arms smoothly. Therefore, it performs well as a motorcycle leather jacket.
Although it is soft sheep leather, the surface is highly durable, and it has been used for high-end gloves, jackets, and other items. If you maintain it with special oils, you can enjoy it for a long time.

Warm
The inside of the high-quality sheep leather is quilted and filled with thick padding, which provides excellent heat retention and keeps you warm and comfortable even during long rides, allowing you to concentrate on driving. The quilting stitching on the surface features a gourd pattern, and we paid particular attention to the design of the inside as well.

The hidden meaning behind the flight tag <br>Originally, tags are attached to aircraft and are meant to warn drivers to "REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT," or "Remove it before the flight!" However, the tag on the RIDEZ MA-1 has a special meaning in mind: "START YOUR ENGINE." This is the call that is made just before the race begins, and is the signal for all the gentlemen to start their engines at once. "Now, the race begins," they all turn the key at the same time, with tension and pounding hearts. Light a fire in your heart along with the engine. This is the deep meaning behind it. You can leave the special tag attached to your clothing, or wear it as a key chain when you're driving!

Box Tag Pocket <br>The box tag was originally a tag on the early MA-1 models to secure an oxygen mask, but the RIDEZ MA-1 has been modified to a pocket with a zipper. The design has been updated to a more modern style.

Anti-flap snap buttons
In the early days of the MA-1, this was used to secure the ICS loop ( internal communication device ) audio cord, but when it was designed for motorcycles, it was changed to a snap button to prevent flapping. Although its role and location are different from the original, it is a specification specialized for motorcycles without compromising the design of the MA-1.

Window flap <br>The flap retains the original design, with rounded corners and the same stitching. It is on the back and cannot be seen, but the design is carefully crafted down to the smallest detail. The flap is large, so it is designed to prevent wind from entering through the gaps.

Protector pocket
This motorcycle leather jacket has pockets so that you can place protectors on the chest, shoulders, elbows, and back, making it safe to use on long rides such as touring.
