The Origin <br>Motorcycle leather jackets are said to have originated in America around 1930. At the time, they were very expensive products as craftsmen made each jacket to order. It was also a time when perfect quality, functionality, and design were considered the most important. The RIDEZ Horsehide Jacket is a carefully crafted piece that combines the concept of the work coat from around 1930, the origin of the jacket, with modern fabrics and materials.

Attention to materials
RIDEZ's commitment starts with the choice of materials. In creating the ultimate garment, we chose horse leather from among the many available leathers. Horse leather is a very active animal, so it has little excess fat and is lightweight yet strong.
It is comfortable to the touch, soft and flexible, making it an ideal material for rider jackets. Horse leather is a high-quality material that hides small scratches and improves in luster and texture the more you use it.

Thickness: approx. 1.4 mm
The thickness of leather is generally said to be around 1mm. For the RIDEZ Horsehide Jacket, we used a thickness of 1.4mm, which is thicker than usual. By using thicker leather, we achieved a sense of weight and durability. In addition, the Italian oiled horsehide leather has been given a vintage finish to give it the appearance of having been worn for many years.
Deep wrinkles are engraved on the leather to give it a three-dimensional look, and the reddish silver surface finished with pigment has a glossy finish, with the paint peeling off to reveal the brown core. This is a recommended item for those who like leather jackets with an aged look that has been worn for many years.

Full vegetable tanning <br>This method has a long history and is said to be the oldest method, dating back to before Christ. It uses vegetable oils and goes through multiple processes to complete the process, so it requires the skill of a craftsman and time. The production volume is small and the costs are high, but on the other hand, the leather is tanned slowly and carefully over time, making it one of a kind. The natural texture, depth, and profound luster of the leather are truly works of art. Be sure to see it for yourself.

The button means "Friends"
The snap buttons feature the "RIDEZ GENUINE TOGS CO." mark, which is only used in this series, and it has a special meaning. It represents TOGS' "friends." Made with carefully selected horse leather and full vegetable tanning, it cannot be mass-produced at once. Everyone who wears this jacket, which can only be produced in small quantities, is a "friend."

YKK zipper
YKK is a leading Japanese brand that holds a 40% share of the global zipper market.
We used YKK zippers in the production of this jacket. The zippers that go up and down every time you wear the jacket are the part that wears out the most. We insisted on using YKK zippers that can withstand harsh conditions.

MOTORCYCLE JACKET
The front has five original snap buttons and a stylish flap pocket. There is also a pocket on the waist, which is a hand warmer pocket. The collar is a regular collar with a stand collar and a chin strap, which can be closed when it is windy, such as when riding. The cuffs are classically shaped with rivets, and the back style is a simple design without an adjuster belt.
The half-length and simple design can be coordinated with a wide range of outfits, from chic to casual, and it also looks great when worn while driving a motorcycle or open-top car. It's a versatile leather jacket that you can't go wrong with.
