By pursuing simplicity to the extreme, true beautiful and rich design is born.
This is the philosophy that guided us in designing the MOTOMAX2.
The development team's first task was to strip away all unnecessary design elements.
We eliminated printed colors and unified the colors to a single tone.
By focusing on materials, improving texture, and engraving the logo, we succeeded in creating the ultimate simple motorcycle shoe without compromising the design.
Why? Hybrid?
Why did we choose two materials? MOTOMAX2 is composed of a hybrid of synthetic leather and genuine leather.Genuine leather has many advantages, but it is actually vulnerable to water and cannot be worn on rainy days. It also has the disadvantage of requiring regular maintenance.
When we were creating this product, we considered using it not only for riding but also for everyday use, so we decided to combine the two materials into a hybrid.
This resulted in a durable motorcycle sneaker with minimal maintenance.
Synthetic leather
Synthetic leather offers the texture and practicality of real leather.
It is water-resistant, so you can wear it without any problems even in sudden rain. Its excellent water resistance allows for comfortable rides without getting wet in the rain. It is also stain-resistant, making it less prone to dirt and easier to maintain a clean appearance.
This item is easy to maintain and suitable for everyday use.
*Genuine leather (cowhide) is used for the shift pad, around the shoelace holes, and the heel counter.
*Please perform daily maintenance on the genuine leather parts (preservation and moisturizing treatment with cream or oil).
Shoelaces [Stain-resistant processing]
Shoelaces are often overlooked.
While the entire shoe is often stain-resistant, the shoelaces are actually the part that gets the dirtiest.
We paid particular attention to the shoelaces for MOTOMAX2.
By applying a special fluorine-based treatment, we succeeded in making them highly water repellent, stain-resistant, and reducing damage to the shoelaces.

YKK Water-resistant Zipper
YKK is a leading Japanese brand with 40% of the global zipper market share.
The MOTOMAX2 uses YKK water-resistant zippers.
In fact, the zipper is a part that wears out just as hard as the sole.
The zipper, which goes up and down every time you wear the shoes, is subjected to considerable stress, and in harsh motorcycle scenarios such as sudden rain or wind during a ride, there is a risk of normal zippers breaking. Therefore, weこだわった YKK zippers for the MOTOMAX2.
Side Zipper
Originally, with lace-up (shoelace) type shoes, you have to loosen the laces to take them off and put them on.
If the shoelaces are loose, precise pedal operation may not be possible, which could affect your ride.
For MOTOMAX2, assuming daily use, we installed a side zipper to make it easier to take them on and off.
This significantly reduces the hassle of tying shoelaces while maintaining the fit.
Visibility - Original Sole
The commitment to our Original Shoe sole. It actually hides two functions.
Step Catch
The sole has a special structure that naturally hooks onto the steps when in a riding position.
This allows you to maintain a comfortable riding posture.
It also functions as a step slip prevention feature.
High Visibility
Accidents often occur when motorcycles are stopped.
However, why are motorcycles often rear-ended while stopped?
The main reason is that "motorcycles are difficult for car drivers to recognize."
The MOTOMAX2 focuses on visibility, and the sole is made in a fluorescent orange color.
By making the color as eye-catching as possible,
it helps to prevent accidents.
Protector
At first glance, it looks like a normal high-cut shoe, but around the ankle bone where the engraving is,
it actually has a special built-in protector.
Even at driving schools, shoes that cover the ankle bone are recommended for lessons.
Even with a minor fall, the ankle is an area that is easily injured if caught by the motorcycle.
Although it looks almost identical to regular shoes, it is designed specifically for motorcycles,
and safety has been thoroughly considered.
