This was a key principle in designing MOTOMAX2.
The development team's first task was to strip away all unnecessary design elements.
Print colors were abolished, and colors were unified to a single tone.
By focusing on materials, enhancing texture, and engraving the logo, a minimalist motorcycle shoe was created without compromising the design.
Why? Hybrid?
Why choose two materials? MOTOMAX2 is constructed as a hybrid of synthetic leather + genuine leather. Genuine leather has many advantages, but it is actually vulnerable to water and cannot be worn on rainy days. It also has the disadvantage of requiring regular maintenance.
When creating this product, we considered casual everyday use in addition to riding, so we decided to use a hybrid construction combining two materials.
This resulted in a durable motorcycle sneaker with minimal maintenance.
Synthetic leather
Synthetic leather offers the texture and practicality of leather.
It is water-resistant, so you can use it without any problems even in sudden rain. Its excellent water resistance ensures a comfortable ride without getting wet from the rain. It is also stain-resistant, making it less prone to dirt and easy to keep clean.
It's an easy-to-maintain item suitable for everyday use.
*The shift pad, area around the shoelace holes, and heel counter are made of genuine leather (cowhide).
*Please perform daily maintenance on the genuine leather parts (leather care and moisturizing with cream or oil).
Shoelaces [Stain-resistant processing]
Shoelaces are often overlooked.
While the entire shoe is often treated for stain resistance, shoelaces are actually the part that gets dirtiest.
With MOTOMAX2, we paid close attention to the shoelaces.
By applying a special fluorocarbon treatment, we succeeded in making them highly water-repellent, stain-resistant, and reducing damage to the shoelaces.

YKK Water-Repellent Zipper
YKK is a leading Japanese brand that holds 40% of the global zipper market share.
The MOTOMAX2 uses YKK water-repellent zippers.
In fact, zippers are subjected to as much wear and tear as the soles.
Zippers that are opened and closed every time you wear them are under considerable stress. In harsh riding conditions, such as sudden rain or wind, ordinary zippers could break. That's why MOTOMAX2 specifically uses YKK zippers.
Side Zipper
Traditionally, with lace-up shoes, you have to loosen the laces to take them on and off.
If the laces are loose, precise pedal operation is difficult, which can affect your ride.
For the MOTOMAX2, we designed it for daily use and included a side zipper for easy on and off.
This maintains the fit while significantly reducing the effort of tying shoelaces.
Visibility - Original Sole
Our commitment to the Original Shoe sole. It actually hides two features.
Step Catch
The sole has a special structure that naturally catches the footpegs when in a riding position.
This allows for maintaining a comfortable riding posture.
It also functions as a step slip prevention feature.
High Visibility
In fact, motorcycles often get into accidents while stopped.
However, why are motorcycles prone to rear-end collisions while stopped?
The main reason is that "motorcycles are difficult for car drivers to recognize."
MOTOMAX2 focused on visibility, making the sole fluorescent orange.
By making the color as eye-catching as possible,
it helps prevent accidents.
Protector
At first glance, it looks like a normal high-cut shoe, but actually, around the ankle engraving,
it has a special built-in protector.
Even at driving schools, students are recommended to wear shoes that cover their ankles during lessons.
Even in a standing fall, the ankle is a part that is easily injured when caught by the motorcycle.
Although it looks almost identical to a regular shoe, it is designed specifically for motorcycles,
and safety aspects have been thoroughly considered.
Protection Midsole
The brown sole has a special shape, unlike regular soles.
It has a two-layer structure with a special alloy embedded inside to maintain its shape.
It maintains the shoe's shape even in tough situations and protects your feet when it matters most.
