FAQ / Frequently Asked Questions
How long do motorcycle helmets last? When should I replace mine?
The general guideline for helmet lifespan is "3 years" from the start of use.
The helmet's impact-absorbing material (expanded polystyrene) hardens over time, reducing its protective performance. Even if there are no visible scratches, we recommend replacing your helmet if it has been 3-5 years since purchase. Furthermore, any helmet that has sustained a significant impact, even once, should be immediately discontinued from use as its internal structure may be compromised.
How do I choose the correct size for a motorcycle helmet?
Choose based on your "head circumference," measured by circling your head from above your eyebrows, over the highest point of your head, and around the most prominent part of your occiput.
After selecting a size that matches your measurement from the size chart, try it on and check the following points:
・Does the helmet stay in place when you shake your head side to side?
・Are your cheeks (cheek pads) adequately compressed, to the extent that your mouth bites down slightly when you move it?
・Is there any painful pressure point (contact) on the top of your head?
