I am illustrator GAO Nishikawa.
"I want to cross America on a motorcycle!" That sudden idea positively changed my life. After numerous road trips to America, including transcontinental journeys and Route 66 tours, illustrating the roadside scenery, motorcycles, and cars I saw along the way gradually became my life's work. Please enjoy the illustrations and road trip art by GAO Nishikawa.

Illustrator, designer, and editor/publisher of a free paper. Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Musashino Art University. Traveled across the American continent alone on a Harley (2001), completed the entire "ROUTE 66" from Chicago to L.A. (2003), and has since made multiple trips to the U.S., creating illustrations with the theme of "Road Trip."
In 2003, he launched the free paper "On The Road Magazine" and has been creating its cover illustrations ever since. He has provided illustrations for Harley-Davidson Japan, BMW Motorrad, Yamaha Motor, Nissan Motor, Toyo Tires, Kyosho, and more. His works have also been featured in numerous magazines.
